Bespoke Casting

We offer a bespoke casting service using a process called 'Lost Wax Casting' or 'Investment Casting'. This method of casting is a century's old process that produces near to shape components which are of a high integrity, good surface finish and close dimensional accuracy.

The Casting Process

Lost wax casting is generally used for small castings, but can produce larger castings that would be difficult or impossible with other casting methods.

Lost wax casting is generally more expensive per unit than die casting or sand casting but can produce complicated shapes in practically any metal that would be difficult or impossible with other casting methods.

Unlike with other process, it requires little surface finishing and only minor machining. We however take this a step further, encasing the product in clear resin, then removing the origanal wax leaving the cast of the original shape magically inside the resin block. This creates a unique and dramatic effect.

Bespoke Casting Uses

Our main market for this type of bespoke casting is artistic (Such as Clair Burbridge) work that needs to be seen yet preserved, the lost wax casting method is ideal for this and as such produces some stunning results.
